Reflection: Everything IS going to be alright.
Today, I'm grateful for: The sunshine
Challenge: Pause and appreciate.
Today, I'm grateful for the sunshine. For that soul-healing beam of greatness that splashes across my face like a little morsel of delight. For that little sparkle it adds to everything it touches. And, especially, for the general sense of optimism it can bring, even on the worst of days.
It can be argued that the sun is the most critical element of the universe. Without the sun, the Earth would be just be a desolate ice-coated rock devoid of life. The sun regulates the atmosphere and weather, warms our seas, and provides energy to the plants that offer food and oxygen for life on Earth.
This beautiful, bountiful, big orange ball in the sky has been there since the day we were born. And she keeps coming back to offer her gifts despite the traumas we've forced upon Mother Earth.
4Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. 5The sunrises and the sunsets; it hurries back to where it rises. 6The wind blows southward, then turns northward; round and round it swirls, ever returning on its course.… - Ecclesiastes 1:4 - 1:6
So today, I look up to the sun with a feeling of gratitude. With appreciate for its greatness. And with faith that the sun will rise again tomorrow offering a fresh start for a new day full of new blessings. And peace of mind that everything is going to be alright.
I'll leave you with one of my favorite tunes by Stephen Marley.
