My dad

July 18, 2021

Today, I’m grateful for: my dad

In the midst of all our baby madness, many of our in-progress house projects have had to fall to the back burner. One particularly unglamorous must-do ditch-project has been on the back burner for a while now, but being that we share the burden of this responsibility with our neighbor, it had to happen sooner rather than later.

Once again, my parents came to the rescue. My dad is what I like to call a “tool junkie”, which means he’s got just about everything you could ever need to get a job done and knows exactly how to use it. And in this case, we needed a skid loader 😅

Dad swooped in and got the job done in a few hours, and even despite the steamy heat, made it look easy! Calvin even got a kick out of it too. I’m so grateful for my dad’s skills, his tools and his willingness to share his expertise to help get the job done. And I’m grateful for one more small burden to be lifted off my husband’s shoulders during this challenging time. They say “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know”, and lucky for me, I’ve got my dad. ☺️
