Reflection: We are on a transformational journey toward a better, more kind and supportive society.
Today, I’m grateful for: a focus on mental health
Challenge: How do you check-in on your own mental health? How do you support the mental health of those around you?
In generations past, mental health hasn’t always been a mainstream focus. Or mainstream acceptable. Or even societally acknowledged for that matter. And in my personal experience, it hasn’t been something that I really understood until more recent chapters of my life.
This fact is sad, and it makes me question how many lives could’ve been improved, enlightened, supported or even saved had this not been the case. As our society embarks on a transformation of consciousness, I am hopeful that we will continue to see shifts and progress toward a more kind, accepting and supportive future.
I may not be able to change the world, but what I can do is focus on what I have control over, which is my own mental health and the role I play in supporting the mental health of those around me. So today, I offer this:
You are important.
You are worthy.
You are enough.
You are loved.
And everything is going to be OK.
If nothing else, I hope you can take a deep breath and remember these things. Today, I’m grateful for societal transformation, and the transparency that has come to be for mental health.
