Reflection: I am the observer (not the controller), the student (not the teacher), the practitioner (not the perfectionist) of this beautiful life I’ve been blessed me with.

Today, I’m grateful for: the opportunity to live in the now.

Challenge: Be present.

Today, I lived life to the fullest. I lived in each moment. I laughed. I cried. I accepted love and honored my emotions. I followed my desires and I was grateful. And as I close this day, I am exhaustedly content. 😊

As I work to understand what this ‘new normal’ looks like for me, I’m finding myself living in the moment more than I ever have before...more than I ever knew I had the ability to. I’m a planner. Type A. I know what I want and I’m not afraid to work hard to achieve the outcomes I desire. But being in a scenario that prevents you from knowing what your “desired outcome” could even look like forces you to live for each moment.....Not for the future you so longingly hope for....

With this new observation, I am working to find peace. To accept this experience for the lessons that it brings. And to remember that, this too shall pass. I’m still human, I still have highs and lows. But I’m working to honor each of them graciously, and identify as the observer (not the controller), the student (not the teacher), and the practitioner (not the perfectionist) of this beautiful life God has blessed me with. In these roles, I am reminded:

What is for me cannot be against me.

I am exactly where I’m supposed to be right now.

Gratitude for the present moment, and the fullness of life now, is true prosperity.
