Today, I’m grateful for: our moms

Challenge: Hug your mom

Today, we celebrated the Mothers in our lives. We spent the day spending time with my mom and Dan’s mom. Brunch, gardening, grilling out and card games made way for a wonderful day spent with family. I’m so grateful for days like these. Especially given that one year ago today, our lives looked quite a bit different.

As I think about how much I love my own son and this sweet baby girl I’m now carrying, I can’t imagine how my own mother must feel after having grown, birthed and raised and loved me for the last 29 years. I’m both excited and overwhelmed by the opportunities and fears the go along with having the never-ending job of “mom”. It’s already both the most rewarding and most challenging job I’ve ever had, and that will never end! I feel like my love as a mother runs so deep now, but I can only imagine what that feels like after decades!

Today, I’m grateful for sweet memories with our families.
