Reflection: Children bring joy in more ways than we could ever understand.

Today, I’m grateful for: A loving family for Calvin

Challenge: Make a visit to grandma and grandpa’s.

As we continue to charge forward on finishing our basement, I decided it was a great day for Calvin and I to get out of the house for the day and give Dan some peace and quiet to focus and be productive. So we ventured out to “grandma and grandpas’s house, where we spent the day exploring new things and enjoying the outdoors!

We played with cars, explored the soon-to-be summer garden, went on a nature walk, played in the dirt, went for a ride on the Kubota and Calvin even got to take his very own John Deere tractor for a spin! It was an action-packed, fun-filled day.

With each new phase of Calvin’s development comes fun, new experiences for both him and all of us who love him. Watching his curiosity and innocent desire to explore is fascinating and I do my best to sit back, and just observe. And same goes for witnessing his relationships with his grandparents. Watching them experience the joy of Calvin’s new “tricks” or “antics” is a treat for me too. If there is one thing we can all rally around as a family, it’s how much we love Calvin.

Today, made me excited for the warmer months ahead, and all of the fun activities Calvin will get to share with his family. I’m so grateful that he has such a wonderful family surrounding him with love.
