Today, I’m grateful for: My mom

My mom comes over at least once a week these days. And I don’t think she sits down for the entirety of time she’s here. Anyone who knows my mom knows she’s a productive, expeditious hard worker, which usually means she can manage to tackle a handful of tasks in a few hours and also help wrangle Calvin in the process to give Dan an opportunity to catch up on housework and projects.

As much as we are excited to meet our sweet baby girl, we are no where NEAR ready for her to get here. I remember thinking it was tough to get the nursery finalized when we were preparing for Calvin’s arrival, but this is a whole new level. Especially since we have a toddler added to the mix of all-things-newborn prep. Hanging clothing, organizing dressers, making up the bedding…..all things us mamas start to do as we prepare for our new babies….and all things I cannot do on bedrest.

I thank God for my mom, who is graciously helping fill this void, to ensure me and my family stay safe and healthy, and help us prepare for the arrival for our daughter.

I’m so grateful for her. She has been an amazing grandma since day one with Calvin and I can’t wait for our daughter to meet the wonderful grandma she has waiting for her here, earth side.

Thank you, mom ❤️
