Reflection: When you have health, you have everything. When you don’t, nothing else matters.
Today, I’m grateful for: Our sweet friends who came to the rescue!
Challenge: See your friends when they can’t see themselves.
Well, the stomach bug has officially infiltrated the Sepich house, and the last 24 hours have been a suffer fest. Cal went down first, followed by Dan and I brought up the rear starting at about 2AM.
We are dehydrated, sleep-deprived and just generally unwell. 😪 Calvin, of all people, seems to be handling it the best, which means his wild spirit is still in full force and he hasn’t slowed down a bit. And let’s just say caring for a reckless toddler when you’re ill like this is IMPOSSIBLE.
By the grace of GOD, we had some great friends come to the rescue swooping in with soup, crackers and hydration to help us recover. We didn’t even ask, they just insisted and showed up and it was EXACTLY what we needed.
As I reflect on how our sweet friends loved on us today, I can’t help but feel so incredibly grateful. It also makes me realize that we need more of this kinda love in our life. We need to make more of an effort to not ask, but just do. To eliminate the step of asking when others need help, and just delivering. We need to see our friends when they can’t see themselves.
Today was one of those moments for us, and I am so so grateful for our sweet friends who loved on us today. I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without them!
Shoutout to Kasey & Matt! The real MVPs! ❤️✊🏽🥰
