Reflection: Everything is new to a child

Today, I’m grateful: new experiences

Challenge: Try something new this week

Calvin got to experience something brand new tonight. Dinner out! It was just at the local Hy-Vee so nothing special, but it was new to Calvin so watching his curiosity was so fun. He was bopping around, watching passers by, and soaking in all the newness around him.

The cherry on top was his particular cuteness as he was engaging with my dad. He was laughing and teasing and making silly noises. It was a real treat seeing them interact and have fun. As Calvin grows, and as our world works to return to some state of normal, I look forward to more new experiences with Calvin and my family.

Today, I’m grateful for the joy and sweetness of observing my son...his new experiences, and his relationships with my loved ones.
