Today, I’m grateful for: America

Today, I’m grateful to live in a country with access to the healthcare I need to keep me and my baby safe. This will be my second birth now where I’ve been told that if I lived in a third-world country, my birth would kill me. I’m 2 for 2 for a badge I never wanted to wear. But living in America where access to western medicine is readily available makes our circumstances feel a little less scary. I hope and pray each day for safety and health for me and my family. And when the day comes for our baby girl to arrive, I have comfort knowing there’s no place better to be.
