Reflection: A genuine hug is something you can feel in your bones.

Today, I’m grateful for: hugs

Challenge: Give someone a hug.

I am a hugger. I always have been and, despite this pandemic’s attempt to strip this gesture of joy away, I always will be a hugger. Some scientists say you need four hugs a day for survival. I love embracing and sharing that brief moment of physical connection with those whom I care about. It’s just a small token of compassion, but it’s always been my way of saying to someone, “I care about you.”

Today, I got a hug from a friend, and dear coworker whom I haven’t seen in many months. And it was especially sweet. A genuine hug is something I can feel in my bones. And today, it left me feeling grateful.

Are you a hugger?
